Youth Power Organization(YPO) has Hosted and Supervised 16 Youth Interns from OYE phase 2 project in Horticulture and Poultry Farming. 

This Internship was designed in a way that it will attract and increase youth involvement in poultry and horticulture farming. Horticulture and Poultry Farming Sectors has a room to accommodate more youth by providing sustainable employment opportunity, income and improve their livelihood. The Internship imparts practical skills, experience and competence to youth for them to be self employed, employ others and/or being employed.

In Poultry Farming Internship Section 10 OYE youth were exposed to practical daily poultry farming operation including (Poultry Housing Construction and Cleanliness, Poultry Vaccination, Poultry Feeding, Feed Formulation and Feeding Requirements, Poultry Debeaking or Beak Trimming and Poultry Egg Incubation.)

At the end of Poultry Internship, 10 OYE youth interns were provided with Internship Test to assess their level of Competence in poultry Farming. 9 out of 10 OYE youth interns scored above 50%. 

In Horticulture Internship Section, 6 OYE youth interns were exposed to practical on hand activities (Horticulture seedbed and farm preparation, Raised Seedling Bed Preparation Horticulture Crops Diseases Identification, Proper Application of Organic Pesticides, Manure Application, Plantation and Proper Plant Spacing)
