Boreholes Construction in Vulnerable and Marginalized Communities

YPO is facilitating the construction of boreholes by doing a geophysical/hydrogeological survey in the Pwani region, Chalinze district in Ubena ward.

The aim is to ensure every villager gets access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene in domestic use and income-generating activities including agriculture, livestock production, and fish farming.

In addition to that, the existence of boreholes in communities will reduce women’s burden to fetch water from a far distance and provide a safe domestic working environment for women and young girls.
